On a guided hike in the Vercors you hand the route, the weather and the map-reading to a state-qualified mountain leader, and keep the walking for yourself. We set off from Villard-de-Lans, Corrençon, Lans, Autrans and elsewhere across the massif.
The Pied Vert mountain leaders take both new and seasoned hikers along the trails of the Vercors Regional Nature Park. Beyond the roads, on ridges and along picturesque forest paths, you'll hike through a territory where wild life and human life mix.
Your mountain leader adapts the approach to your group: family, experienced hikers, lovers of wildlife or simply people after a good moment outside.
The Vercors walks perfectly well on your own. IGN maps and route guides are easy to come by. A guided outing answers something else: walking without having to decide.
Your leader picks the route on the morning itself, reading the wind, the state of the paths and what you actually feel like seeing. He knows where the chamois come down at this time of year, which combe stays cool in August, which viewpoint takes forty minutes rather than three hours. None of that is written on a map. It is learned by living in the massif all year.
Then there is safety, the heart of the job: a French state diploma in mid-mountain leading, professional liability cover, and someone who knows what to do when a day goes wrong.

As people who live in the Vercors massif, we take you out on the most accessible paths, the classics and the off-the-beaten-track ones too.
These easy outings mix walking with discoveries of natural environments through playful activities that invite you to learn about the wildlife, the plants and their quirks, or the cultural heritage of the Vercors.
Depending on the route, the outing may pass a viewpoint that opens onto a panorama, a possible sunset over Grenoble, a waterfall or an airy ridge path.
A playful outing for family, friends or colleagues.

Hiking often rhymes with intense sport and summit…
On a guided outing, also discover the tones of Wellness and Relaxation that work just as well with hiking.
Pied Vert mountain leaders invite you, over a day or an afternoon, to take the time to walk in the mountains.
In a setting of valleys, cliffs and summits, this walk is a chance to enjoy the moment through workshops mixing stretching, massages, mindful walking, blindfold walking and yoga.

The Bec de l'Orient, the Moucherotte, the Grande Moucherolle and the Grand Veymont are the high points of the Vercors.
Ready to climb up to 1000 m of ascent to reach their summits along alpine paths?
Fair weather rewards you with first-class belvederes, while more changeable conditions bring delicious atmospheres to this guided hike.
The effort may also be rewarded by a wild encounter with a chamois or an ibex (helped by your mountain leader's deep knowledge of the area).
Clear visibility may let you see the Alps as far as Mont-Blanc.

An easy or sporty hike leads up to a natural high-altitude esplanade. The spot is perfect for setting up a bivouac. To recover our strength, we cook local specialities facing the sunset.
At dawn, after a night under the stars, we head back along the finest Vercors trails. Perhaps we'll cross paths with a chamois or a marmot enjoying the morning dew.

Let yourself be charmed by our long-eared companions. Thanks to their sure-footedness, we set off to discover the Vercors with light shoulders.
A magical encounter for children and practical for adults. One, two or more? The amount of gear to carry decides how many donkeys come along from valley to valley, or perhaps onto the Vercors Highlands.

Our mountain leaders live in the Vercors year-round. They know the paths off the main routes, the chamois spots, and which panorama works at which hour of the day. The route, the pace and the approach are adjusted to your group: a family carrying a baby and four walkers chasing elevation do not set off along the same trail.
The rest is atmosphere. Walking in the mountains means talking, laughing and sharing a picnic with a view. Outings are run for your group alone, with the rate per person falling as the group grows.

Family hike in the Vercors★★★★★ Comment sent by Mme Martinaud in May
A top guide for spending a good day...★★★★★ Comment sent by Fabienne Sanchez in May on GoogleA top guide for spending a good day discovering the landscapes and understanding the environment. As a bonus, a picnic out in nature, grilling really good local products (Diots sausages, cheeses) and mulled wine made by Yann, the guide. I recommend this day, fairly easy hike, doable with kids from age 10. I appreciated Yann's kindness and how attentive he was. Thanks again.

She led us up to the Pas Enardant, a 2000-metre summit, with an incredible 360-degree view over the Vercors. Her knowledge of the terrain and her advice made the hike easier. And her explanations about the wildlife, plants and local life taught us so much! Thank you Marion. We'll do it again!

From 30€ per person for a half day and 51€ for a full day, for a group of 6 or more. The rate is degressive: the bigger the group, the lower the share each person pays. Full detail in our pricing table.
Yes. Our outings run on booking, there are no fixed departure dates. Allow a week or so, more in July and August or for a multi-day stay. A phone call to 07 66 64 90 96 is enough to fix a date.
No. Your leader sets the difficulty around the group rather than the other way round. Our easy outings are open to everyone, including non-hikers: 2 to 3 hours of gentle walking, broken up by discovery stops. At the other end, a climb to one of the Vercors summits asks for some training. Tell us your level when you book and the route will follow.
Yes. We offer outings for little feet suited to the youngest age (in a baby carrier or on foot depending on age). Outings are short, playful and punctuated by nature discoveries.
Yes. A hiking weekend of 2-3 days or a trek of 5 to 7 days with a bivouac or a refuge. Your leader handles the logistics.
From Grenoble: 45 min by car. From Lyon: 1h30 by motorway. Grenoble TGV station gives easy access for teams coming from across France. See our advice on green travel.

We run guided hikes and walks in the Vercors Regional Nature Park, in Isère (38) and on the Drôme side of the massif. They can run for a day or several days, radiating from your accommodation or as a hiking weekend, or a trek that takes in, for example, one of the finest belvederes of the Alps: the Molière plateau.
We invite you to walk the iconic Vercors paths or to discover our little secret gardens, starting from Autrans, Corrençon-en-Vercors, Villard-de-Lans, Lans-en-Vercors, La Chapelle-en-Vercors or Rencurel.
You will head out with one of the mountain leaders in the Vercors at Pied Vert, all state-qualified and living in the massif.
We can also put together a fine hike for a good moment between colleagues during a mountain retreat in the Vercors, or for a special occasion such as a hen party a short drive from Grenoble.
In summer, if it gets very hot, we adjust the route to find the cool of forests, walk close to a stream (and why not one of the Vercors lakes?), or follow a path through gorges. The plan is finalised when you get in touch with a Pied Vert guide for your plunge into nature.
