Several days of walking between forests, pastures and summits, in the Vercors Nature Park.
You really discover the Vercors when you sleep in it. A trek of 2 to 7 days with a Pied Vert mountain leader means walking off the marked routes, sleeping under the stars and waking up in the silence of a pasture.
Our routes pass along the ridges, the Highlands, the Grand Veymont or valleys only locals know. The pace is measured so effort stays a pleasure, and each stage is a chance to learn about the geology, the wildlife or the human history of this territory.

The Vercors Highlands nature reserve is the largest roadless area in mainland France. 4 to 6 days of self-sufficient hiking, from the Col de Rousset to the Grand Veymont, with high-altitude bivouacs facing the cliffs.
Your leader handles the logistics (gear, resupply, navigation) so you can enjoy the landscape.
Plan our traverse →

The highest point of the Vercors (2341 m) deserves time. Climb by a wild route, bivouac at the foot of the cliffs, final ascent at dawn.
A short, intense trek for motivated hikers.
Aim for the summit →

The trek can start from Villard-de-Lans, Autrans, Corrençon-en-Vercors, Lans-en-Vercors, La Chapelle-en-Vercors or another point of the massif. Departure possible from your accommodation or from a bus stop (green travel).

Wonderful discovery of the Vercors high plateaus...★★★★★ Comment sent by Julius Dewavrinin Mayon GoogleWonderful discovery of the Vercors high plateaus thanks to Pied Vert and Yoann's guiding. He taught us loads about this protected wilderness, helped us spot wildlife like ibex and marmots, and we feasted on local specialities out in nature. Thank you! Visited Weekday, no wait.
A huge thank you to Pied Vert...★★★★★ Comment sent by Mélanie LETHOUEILin Mayon GoogleA huge thank you to Pied Vert and especially to Ugo for these 3 days and 2 nights of adventure in the Vercors high plateaus nature reserve. The guiding was spot-on from start to finish, with homemade meals and top-quality bivouac gear. Ugo has impressive knowledge of his environment and shared it with passion, introducing us to the wildlife, the plants, and the issues facing this remarkable place. The landscapes were stunning, and climbing the Grand Veymont (over 1000m of elevation gain!) was a highlight. A real challenge, a one-of-a-kind experience. I highly recommend Pied Vert! Thank you, Ugo!
Three fantastic days snowshoeing...★★★★★ Comment sent by PIERRE SALESSEin Mayon GoogleThree fantastic days snowshoeing high up in this stunning Vercors regional park. Despite the changeable weather at the start of the season, I'm finishing this third day on a high. Thanks to the Pied Vert team: Yoann, Ugo, Yann! Thanks for your sharp guiding, your good advice, your top-level expertise, your passion for the mountains, your love for this beautiful region; you talk about it with such passion! A team of gold-standard experts who really make the most of this wonderful mountain heritage. I recommend this team with my eyes closed and will definitely come back, walking the combes, climbing the passes and peaks, on the trail of the wolf. Thank you!
Two days hiking on the trail...★★★★★ Comment sent by Jacques Bonnefoyin Mayon GoogleTwo days hiking on the trail of the wolves. Two very nice guides who really know their stuff. Attentive to clients, they got us hooked. A little extra for Marion and her little fairies at the end of the walk.
Dear Ugo, dear Yoann, for this...★★★★★ Comment sent by Marc PARISin Mayon GoogleDear Ugo, dear Yoann, for this south-to-north traverse week prepared down to the last detail, a huge thank you for all those moments of sharing, your endearing personalities, your experiences, the breathtaking flora and wildlife. Thanks to Marion for the comforting spicy flavours and to the kind water-carrier for all her efforts! A real taste of adventure. Marc
The Grande Traversée du Vercors (GR91 / GTV) takes 5 to 7 days depending on pace and the variants chosen. For a first experience, a 2-3 day trek on the Highlands is a good way to taste multi-day hiking without a long commitment.
Our treks suit walkers able to hike 5 to 7 hours a day with a lightened pack. We adapt the elevation and daily distance to your condition. You don't need to be sporty, but you do need to enjoy walking.
Both work, and you can alternate. The bivouac (tent, under the stars, igloo in winter) offers more freedom and immersion. The Vercors refuges bring the comfort of a roof and a hot meal. Your leader advises you depending on the season and your preferences.
Yes. Grenoble TGV station is 45 minutes from the Vercors by shuttle. Several of our routes are designed as loops or with a return by public transport. We can organise transfers.
