Pied Vert is a team of mountain leaders committed to sharing this massif with curious minds. We are based in the heart of the Vercors, just a short drive from Grenoble.
We run hikes, walks and outdoor activities to discover the Vercors and the nature around us. Friendly, playful, led by certified guides.

Each outing is tailored to your group
Family, friends, hen parties, corporate retreats, winter seminars or solo: your mountain leader adjusts the route, pace and topics to your wishes and to the abilities of your group.
We also work with holiday clubs, schools on discovery trips or day outings, and on ENS projects (sensitive natural areas) funded by the département.

Who we are
We live in the Vercors massif (Autrans-Méaudre, Lans-en-Vercors or Villard-de-Lans) and we choose to share this territory on hikes and nature activities, on foot or on snowshoes, for a day or for a mountain bivouac.
Holders of the French State Diploma in Mountaineering (Mountain Leader, Accompagnateur en Montagne / AMM), we have joined forces in a mountain office, sharing a common spirit, ethics and skills to lead groups in this specific environment.
We work mostly in the Four Mountains area (northern Vercors). On request we also lead on the Vercors Highlands, in Rencurel (Col de Romeyère, Forêt des Coulmes), La Chapelle-en-Vercors and on neighbouring massifs: the limestone Chartreuse or the crystalline Belledonne. From time to time we head down to Grenoble.

What is a Mountain Leader?
Holders of the French State Diploma in Mountaineering (DE AMM), Pied Vert leaders place a strong emphasis on transmission: wildlife, flora, geology, local heritage. Every guided hike comes with stories and knowledge about the Vercors's natural environments.

How do I book an outing with Pied Vert?Get in touch by phone or email. We discuss your wishes, your group and your dates. The leader in charge of your booking then tailors the outing to your expectations.
Where do your activities take place?Most of our outings start from Autrans, Villard-de-Lans, Corrençon-en-Vercors or Lans-en-Vercors. We also work on the Vercors Highlands, in the Chartreuse, on the Belledonne massif and around Grenoble.
What's the minimum age?Some outings such as Little Feet are designed for families with children from age 4. For more committing hikes, the minimum age depends on the route. Let us know when you enquire.
How do I reach the Vercors from Grenoble or Lyon?Allow 45 minutes by car from Grenoble, around 1h30 from Lyon. Bus lines (TAG and Transisère networks) also serve the Vercors plateau.

AMAZING!! Yann, Hugo and Yohann are very professional, attentive and great teachers. Everything they offer is suited to the children's age. We loved getting into our bubble and listening, smelling, looking at nature, walking barefoot in the forest... But I won't reveal everything. At the end of the day, only one regret: we'd happily have extended the stay in the Vercors with this team!! You can go with your eyes closed!!
