Pied Vert is an association of mountain leaders sharing a vision of the profession, common values and collective tools built around their work.
Legally, it is a Local Professional Trade Union.
The statutes framing this association of mountain professionals were filed at the town hall of Villard-de-Lans in February 2020.
These statutes are completed by internal rules specifying how Pied Vert operates.
The rules evolve over time, with each member's wish to add a new stone to the collective.
Our motto:
Pied Vert aims to build a collective synergy so mountain professionals (mountain leaders, nature educators, etc.) can make a living from their work with shared visibility, offering playful and educational activities in the Vercors. This collective framework supports solidarity, care for each other and the sharing of knowledge between professionals. The Pied Vert structure welcomes new professionals who want to contribute to this collective synergy.
To keep things running smoothly, we have chosen to run an open office at two speeds.
So we are made up of partners and reinforcements.
The partners share the day-to-day management tasks of the office.
These run from communication to accounting, and of course the heart of the job: preparing and leading mountain outings.
The understanding, solidarity and mutual help among active members, plus the shared values and shared craft, support the smooth running of the office.
Building a common visibility and a common commercial offer is one of our big collective challenges, helping active members reach a degree of professional stability.
The reinforcements are mountain leaders called on by active members to co-lead or lead outings when an extra hand is needed.
So Pied Vert is not a company looking to recruit ever more leaders or posting job offers for mid-mountain leaders. It is a collective, able to grow, carried by its partners in the cooperative dynamic described above.
This grouping makes it easier to set up a quality working framework. It runs from the development of shared outings to leading them on the ground, from a playful half-day to a multi-day immersion.
From the collectively developed offer, each guided experience stays its own. It adjusts to the specifics of the request, the conditions of the environment and the affinities of the leader.
